Rare uncut display box proof sheet for the 1971 Bazooka set. This box design was produced to hold twenty-five pieces of bubble gum. 1971 was the final year of Bazooka baseball cards. The box has images of the actual 3-card panel from the set featuring Hall of Famers Willie Mays and Jim "Catfish" Hunter, along with Randy Hundley. This is a true proof sheet with color bars along the left edge. While it is impossible to know how many of these display box proof sheets exist, this is the first example we have ever offered. The sheet is bright and crisp, with magnificent colors, six small pieces of transparent tape (two on front and four on back), and moderate creasing. This is a fascinating uncut proof sheet from one of the scarcest and most overlooked Topps-related issues of the era. Dimensions: 22 x 11 inches. The size/weight of this item requires that there will be an additional shipping charge for this lot.
