Graded VG 40 by SGC. Rarely offered W600 Sporting Life series cabinet-card featuring Hall of Fame outfielder "Wee Willie" Keeler as a member of the New York Highlanders. Two variations of Keeler (both dressed in a suit) were issued in W600: one with a Brooklyn NL team designation (1902) and one with a New York AL team designation (1903). The offered example is the latter "New York" variation. Extremely bright and crisp, with even corner wear and outstanding image quality. A small stain is visible on the bottom left corner. The blank reverse is lightly soiled. W600 Sporting Life cabinet cards were available only by mail and they are universally recognized as among the most substantial and highest-quality baseball-card sets ever issued. This is a solid mid-grade example of one of the most desirable of all W600 Hall of Famers, and one of Willie Keeler's rarest and most impressive cards.
