Presented is a collection of 289 Kellogg's baseball cards, consisting of three complete sets and two near-completes, spanning the years 1972 to 1981. Throughout the 1970s and early 1980s, the Kellogg's cereal company was the only true competition for Topps in the baseball-card market. These sets include cards of Willie Mays, Roberto Clemente, Nolan Ryan, Tom Seaver, Reggie Jackson, George Brett, and Pete Rose. This collection consists of the following: 1) 1972 Kellogg's Near-Complete Set (53/54 cards): 80% Nr/Mt to Nr/Mt-Mt (including some Mint) and 20% lesser (mostly due to cracking). Missing: #3. 2) 1975 Kellogg's Near-Complete Set (53/54 cards): 32% Nr/Mt to Nr/Mt-Mt and 68% lesser (mostly very low grade due to cracking). Missing: #44 Hunter. 3) 1977 Kellogg's Complete Set (57 cards): Nr/Mt-Mt to Mint overall, with a few Nr/Mt and a couple lesser due to very small cracks. 4) 1979 Kellogg's Complete Set (60 cards): Condition ranges from Ex-Mt to Nr/Mt-Mt (averaging Nr/Mt), with a few lesser. 5) 1981 Kellogg's Complete Set (66 cards): Nr/Mt to Nr/Mt-Mt overall, with a couple Mint and 10% lesser. This is an impressive collection of cards from this classic food issue. Total: 289 cards.
