Lot # 3145: 1964 Auravision Records Complete Set (16) Plus Rare Advertising Poster

Complete set of sixteen 1964 Auravision Records baseball records plus four duplicates (Banks, Boyer, Kaline, and Mantle) and a very rare advertising poster with its original mailing envelope. The Auravision records were original produced as a test set in 1962 and featured eight different players. The set was officially offered in 1964 as a premium, at which time it was expanded to sixteen players. The condition of the records is Vg-Ex to Ex overall, with one lesser and a few Ex-Mt to Nr/Mt. The only record with a punched-out spindle hole is the Kaline duplicate. Keys: Koufax (Vg-Ex), two Mantle (Ex and Vg-Ex), and Mays (Vg-Ex). The advertising poster (8.5 x 11-inches) is printed on paper stock and details the Thriftway Super Market promotion of the Auravision records. On the other side of the poster is a letter written to "Physical Education Director," explaining the promotion and asking that the poster be displayed for the students. The poster displays two natural fold lines, otherwise grading Very Good. The mailing envelope displays postal use and was ripped open at the flap end.
