Collection of thirty-six cards from the 1952 Topps "Look 'n See" set, including thirty-four that have been professionally graded and encapsulated by PSA. "Look 'n See" is one of the great classics of early 1950s non-sport card issues and one of the earliest of all Topps sets. This was an extremely ambitious concept for a set, with strong historical and educational content. The card fronts feature full-color portraits of famous people from all eras and areas of history. The only sports figure in the set is Babe Ruth. PSA Grading Composite: MINT 9 (1 card): #86 (OC). NM-MT 8 (1 card): #130 (OC). NM 7 (13 cards): #16, 28, 29, 44 Cleopatra, 59, 76, 90, 95, 102, 110, 116, 120, 127 Galileo. EX-MT+ 6.5 (1 card): #105 DaVinci. EX-MT 6 (12 cards): #32, 51 Columbus, 78, 81, 84 Caesar, 89, 97, 107, 108 Michelangelo, 115, 121, and 133 Joan of Arc. EX 5 (3 cards): #1 Roosevelt, 75, and 79. VG-EX 4 (3 cards): #45 Earhart, 85 and 113. Also includes unencapsulated examples of #88 Amundsen (90/10 L/R and 80/20 T/B, otherwise Ex-Mt) and 126 Ericson (95/5 L/R, otherwise Ex-Mt). Total: 36 cards. The size/weight of this item requires that there will be an additional shipping charge for this lot.
