Description

Program issued for the 1950 World Series between the Philadelphia Phillies and the New York Yankees at Shibe Park. The program features the combined blue-ink signatures of seventeen members of the New York Yankees and Philadelphia Phillies. The players have all signed on the interior next to their respective images. The signatures include those of Ashburn, Roberts, DiMaggio, Berra, Rizzuto, Ford, Mize, Martin, Raschi, Lopat, Bauer, Woodling, Silvera, Houk, Reynolds, Henrich, and Collins. The Yankees captured their second consecutive World Championship in 1950, sweeping the famed Philadelphia "Whiz Kids" in four games. The program (8-3/4 x 11-1/2 inches) displays moderate handling wear and is unscored. Good condition overall. Auction LOA from James Spence/JSA.
