Rarely offered complete set of all thirty-two cards from the 1949 Remar Bread issue, composed only of players from the Oakland Oaks of the Pacific Coast League and highlighted by Billy Martin and Hall of Famer George Kelly. Condition is 43% Ex to Ex-Mt (including one Nr/Mt), 44% Vg to Vg-Ex, and 13% lesser. Two cards have been professionally graded and encapsulated by PSA. Keys: Dressen (Vg), Jensen (ink mark on reverse, otherwise Vg-Ex), Kelly (Vg, HOF), Martin (EX 5), and Metkovich (NM 7). The Remar Bread sets have always been highly prized as one of the premier regional Pacific Coast League card issues. There were very few card sets of any type issued during the late-1940s, and fewer still devoted to Pacific Coast League players, which naturally tend to be very scarce as they were only regionally issued. A very attractive mid-grade complete set of this scarce regional PCL issue from the 1940s. Total 32 cards.
