Magnificent high-grade example of one of the three classic poses of Christy Mathewson from the T206 White Borders series. It is further distinguished by its El Principe De Gales advertising back, which is seen far less often than most other T206 advertising backs. The T206 Christy Mathewson dark cap pose is one of the most popular of all T206s, and one of the most highly regarded of all Mathewson cards. This example has a particularly bold image, extremely vibrant colors, and strong corners with light touches of wear. The important advertising reverse is boldly printed. This is an outstanding high-grade example of one of the key Hall of Famers from the legendary T206 set, and it would be at home in any world-class T206, Christy Mathewson, or Hall of Fame collection.
