Presented is a near-complete set of the 1973 Topps series consisting of 659 different cards, out of 660 in the set. The rookie cards of Hall of Famers Mike Schmidt and Rich Gossage, as well as the final cards of Roberto Clemente and Willie Mays, highlight the 1973 Topps issue, one of the most popular sets of the 1970s. Missing only #420 for completion. Includes three duplicates (#62, 126, and 145). Condition is Vg-Ex to Ex-Mt overall, averaging Vg-Ex+/Ex, with many of the cards crisp and clean but technically grading lesser due to centering issues. Keys: #1 Ruth/Mays/Aaron (Gd), 50 Clemente (Ex), 100 Aaron (Ex), 130 Rose (Vg-Ex), 174 Gossage RC (Vg), 193 Fisk (Vg-Ex), 220 Ryan (Vg-Ex), 280 Kaline (miscut, no top border, otherwise Ex), 305 Mays (Ex), 380 Bench (Vg), 614 Evans RC (Vg), and 615 Schmidt RC (Vg). This is a very attractive 1973 Topps near-complete set (minus one) with numerous highlights. Total: 662 cards. The size/weight of this item requires that there will be an additional shipping charge for this lot.
