Official American League baseball (Cronin) signed in blue ink by 28 members of the 1963 World Champion Los Angeles Dodgers, including Alston (mgr., sweet spot), Drysdale, Gilliam, Howard, Roseboro, Podres, Fairly, Skowron, Camilli, Richert, Reiser (coach), Moon, Rowe, Ferrara, T. Davis, Calmus, McMullen, Tracewski, Breeding, Ortega, Becker (coach), B. Miller, Walls, and Gleason (in his only year with the Dodgers) who was called up to the Dodgers on September 3, 1963 when major-league rosters expanded late in the season. He made his MLB debut that day and appeared in eight games during the Dodgers’ pennant-winning campaign. Please note the signature of Sandy Koufax has been deemed a clubhouse example by JSA. The Los Angeles Dodgers won the 1963 World Series with dominant pitching, led by Sandy Koufax and Don Drysdale. Koufax earned NL MVP and Cy Young honors, while the Dodgers swept the Yankees to claim their second title in five years. Being the offered baseball is an official American League ball it is likely this ball was acquired at the World Series. The ball displays a couple spots of discoloration but is otherwise in Near Mint condition overall. Auction LOA from James Spence/JSA.
