Presented is a very attractive pair of 1970 and 1971 Fleer "World Series" complete sets. The 1970 set consists of 66 cards covering the 1903 through 1969 World Series (excluding 1904, when the World Series was canceled) with artwork by R.G. Laughlin. The 1971 set consists of 68 cards, offering new artwork and two additional cards covering the 1904 cancellation ("No Series") and the 1970 World Series. Included is an original 1970 wrapper (Vg). 1) 1970 Complete Set (66 cards): The cards in this set display considerable size variance, with many falling markedly short of the 2.5 x 3.5 inches catalog standard. Without further reference to card size, condition ranges from Vg to Ex (averaging Vg-Ex), with a couple Ex-Mt. 2) 1971 Complete Set (68 cards): Ranging from Vg-Ex to Nr/Mt (averaging Ex/Ex-Mt), with all cards displaying a slight "diamond" cut. This is a very attractive pair of 1970s Fleer "World Series" sets with outstanding eye appeal. Total: 134 cards plus wrapper.
