Lot # 2521: 1959 Kahn's Wieners Football Jim Brown PSA VG 3

Graded VG 3 by PSA. Very attractive example of Cleveland Browns Hall of Famer Jim Brown from the 1959 Kahn's Wieners football set, the first and rarest set issued by the popular food manufacturer. Kahn's Wieners cards are one of the few food issues of the era and are far rarer than most other football cards issued in the 1950s. The very scarce 1959 Kahn's Wieners football set features members of only the Cleveland Browns and Pittsburgh Steelers. One card was issued with each package of Kahn's meats. Because of the product with which they were packaged, heavy grease stains and creases are common with this issue, making it even more difficult to acquire a high-grade example. All Kahn's meats cards are condition rarities! The offered card displays a crisp image of Brown and minor corner wear. Light staining on the reverse factors into the assigned grade. This is a very attractive mid-grade example of one of Jim Brown's most elusive cards from one of the 1950s' most legendary rare regional sets.
