Description

Baseball (manufacturer's stampings faded) signed by catcher Hugh Poland in blue ink on a side panel. Poland has added the inscription "Mgr. Cambridge Ball Club" directly below his signature. The date "Aug. 3, 1940" is noted on the panel below his signature. Poland passed away in 1984 at the age of 74. The ball displays moderate-to-heavy toning and a few surface abrasions. In Good condition overall. Basic certification from PSA/DNA (a corresponding sticker is affixed to the ball).
