Collection of 26 single-signed baseballs consisting exclusively of former New York Giants infielders and outfielders from the 1940s. This collection is highlighted by many tough-to-find signees. Unless otherwise noted, all the signatures appear on the sweet spot of an official Major or National League baseball dating from the 1980s or later (except for two American League balls and five non-official balls). The signatures have been scripted in a variety of inks. One of the offered baseballs has full Beckett LOA while 19 others have basic individual authentication from JSA or PSA/DNA. Most of the balls have varying degrees of age toning. Otherwise all are in Excellent or better condition overall (with a couple lesser). This collection consists of the following: Ray Berres (side panel), Buddy Blattner, Walker Cooper, Tony Cuccinello, Charlie Fox (side panel), Lonny Frey, Augie Galan, Danny Gardella, Lloyd Gearhart (non-official ball, "New York Giants 1947"), Jack Graham (non-official ball), Bert Haas, George Hausmann (non-official ball, "N.Y. Giants, 44, 45, 49"), Buddy Kerr (OAL ball, side panel, personalized), Joe Lafata (side panel, personalized, "New York Giants 1947-1949"), Les Layton (side panel, "New York Giants 1948"), Willard Marshall, Buster Maynard (non-official ball, personalized, "Sept 10, 1948 Polo Grounds"), Charlie Mead ("New York Giants 1943-44-45"), Ray Mueller, Ken O'Dea (side panel, non-official ball), Joe Orengo, Connie Ryan, Glen Stewart, Ben Warren, Bill Werber (OAL ball), and Roy Zimmerman. Total: 26 signed baseballs. Auction LOA from James Spence/JSA. The size/weight of this item requires that there will be an additional shipping charge for this lot.
