Lot # 2001: 1927 Philadelphia Athletics Team-Signed Baseball with Foxx, Simmons, Wheat, and Collins - JSA

Official American League baseball (Johnson) signed in black ink by the following 20 members of the 1927 Philadelphia Athletics: Foxx, Grove, Collins, Simmons, Wheat, Cochrane, Gleason (coach, sweet spot), Walberg, Powers, Boley, Mellana, E. Mack (coach), Galloway, Perkins, Quinn, Saunders, Dykes, French, and Ehmke. (The signature of Ty Cobb has been deemed a clubhouse example by JSA.) All of the manufacturer's stampings are bold and the ball has been coated with a layer of protective shellac. In Excellent condition overall. This is an extremely attractive Philadelphia A's ball from the era, featuring six Hall of Famers, including Zack Wheat, who was only with the A's in 1927. Full LOA from James Spence/JSA.
