1928 New York Yankees regular-season program, signed on the front cover in pencil by Lou Gehrig. The program has been framed together with a 1956-1963 Artvue (Type 2) Black-and-White Hall of Fame Postcard featuring Hall of Fame manager Joe McCarthy. The postcard has been signed and inscribed in blue ink on the front. The inscription reads "With Best Wishes / To Duke Moran From Joe McCarthy / Feb. 17th 1965." The interior scoring sheets (not scored) of the program have been removed to be displayed separately in the frame. (Please note since we have not examined the program out of the frame, we are uncertain of its completeness.) Also included in this impressive display is a large black-and-white photo (modern print) capturing Gehrig and McCarthy in the dugout during the 1939 season. The program (6 x 9.25 inches, visible dimensions) displays light staining. In apparent Fair condition overall. The postcard is in apparent Vg-Ex condition. Matted and framed to the total dimensions of 30.25 x 4.75 inches. Full LOA from James Spence/JSA. The size/weight of this item requires that there will be an additional shipping charge for this lot.
