Lot # 2023: Hall of Famers and Stars Multi-Signed Baseball Display with Gehrig, Wagner, Cobb, Johnson, and Speaker - JSA

Outstanding fold-over display featuring signatures of nine legendary Hall of Famers and two stars of the era: Walter Johnson, Kenesaw Landis, Rogers Hornsby, Bill Terry, Jesse Haines, Lou Gehrig, Tris Speaker, Honus Wagner, Ty Cobb, Pepper Martin, and Schoolboy Rowe. Each signature is penned on its own baseball cut-out in either blue or black ink. This custom piece was obviously assembled with great care, as each baseball is meticulously affixed to the piece. Based on dated inscriptions provided by Wagner (Sept 25, 1930) and Rowe (1934), we can determine that compiling these signatures was a multi-year project. The display (20 x 12.5 inches), while intact, displays a substantial split along the fold line. Good condition overall.
