The rookie card of Ozzie Smith highlights the 1979 Topps issue, one of the very popular sets of the 1970s. Condition is 44% Nr/Mt to Nr/Mt-Mt (including some Mint), 35% Ex to Ex-Mt (including some due solely to centering, and 21% Vg to Vg-Ex (mostly due to light surface wrinkles). Twenty-five cards have been graded and encapsulated by PSA. PSA Grading Composite: MINT 9 (12 cards): #36, 39 Murphy, 200 Bench, 231, 247, 632, 639, 640 Murray, 641, 643, 685, and 700 Jackson. NM-MT 8 (12 cards): #11, 55 Stargell, 115 Ryan, 116 Smith RC (OC), 235, 251 Morris, 300 Carew, 306, 330 Brett, 650 Rose, 660, and 694. NM 7 (1 card): #364. This is a very attractive mid- to high-grade complete set of this classic 1970s Topps issue. Total: 726 cards.
