The rookie card of Ozzie Smith highlights the 1979 Topps issue, one of the very popular sets of the 1970s. Condition is 34% Nr/Mt to Nr/Mt-Mt (including a few Mint), 47% Ex to Ex-Mt (including some due solely to centering), and 19% Vg to Vg-Ex. Nineteen cards have been professionally graded and encapsulated by PSA. PSA Grading Composite: MINT 9 (5 cards): #640 Murray, 204 Rose RB, 377, 515, and 610 Schmidt. NM-MT+ 8.5 (2 cards): #433 and 593. NM-MT 8 (8 cards): #39 Murphy, 55 Stargell, 200 Bench, 330 Brett, 399, 650 Rose, 657, and 700 Jackson. NM 7 (2 cards): #115 Ryan and 320 Yastrzemski. EX 5 (1 card): #25 Carlton. VG-EX 4 (1 card): #116 Smith RC. This is a very attractive mid- to high-grade complete set of this classic 1970s Topps issue. Total: 726 cards.
