Graded NM 7 by PSA. Magnificent high-grade example of Detroit Tigers Hall of Famer Ty Cobb from the 1915 Cracker Jack series. This is one of Cobb’s most striking and popular cards. 1915 Cracker Jacks will always be one of the most highly prized and widely collected of all prewar sets. The "Georgia Peach" is one of the key cards in the set, along with Jackson, Johnson, Mathewson, and Wagner. The offered card has outstanding color, perfect registration, and strong corners. The image has a natural slight tilt as made and gives the appearance of being off center, left to right, but that is not the case. Clean reverse with bold black text. This card was obviously once from an original "factory set" obtained by mail directly from the company as it is entirely absent of any hints of caramel staining so frequently encountered with these cards. This is a stunning and exceptionally high-grade example of one of prewar-card collecting's most popular classics.
