Description

Graded VG/EX 4 by SGC. The 1914 Cracker Jack is understandably one of Pittsburgh Pirates Hall of Famer Honus Wagner's most striking and popular cards. The "Flying Dutchman" is one of the big four key cards in the set, along with Cobb, Jackson, and Mathewson. This card is well-centered with tremendous color, outstanding registration, four strong corners, and a particularly bold red background. Light caramel staining is visible mostly on the reverse (which is usually found on #144 series cards). The 1914 Cracker Jacks, of course, are far rarer to find in high grade than their 1915 counterparts, because the 1914 #144 series cards were issued only in boxes of Cracker Jack. This is a beautiful mid-grade card with fantastic eye appeal that would make a superb addition to any collection of Cracker Jack, Honus Wagner, or vintage Hall of Fame cards.
