Per a contractual condition of Lalo Maradona's signing with Granada, it was agreed that his brothers Diego (then regarded as the greatest player in the world) and Hugo (the youngest brother) would join him for a special exhibition match. Granada defeated Malmö 3-2 in the only match ever to feature all three Maradona brothers on the same pitch, with Diego and Lalo each scoring. In Spain, the occasion is remembered as ‘El Día de los Tres Maradonas’ (The Day of the Three Maradonas).
