Description

Original news photo of Hank Aaron congratulating Willie Mays on his home run during the 1965 All-Star Game at Metropolitan Stadium. Certified as an original Type I photo by PSA. Mays opened the scoring with a leadoff blast off Milt Papas. Fellow Hall of Famers Joe Torre and Willie Stargell also homered for the National League All-Stars, who won the game 6-5. The reverse displays a "United Press International Photo" credit stamp, a "SPORT" stamp, and pencil notations. The photo (8 x 10 inches) is in Very Good condition overall. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.
