Description

Graded GOOD 2 by SGC. Very attractive mid-grade example of Cleveland Naps Hall of Famer Nap Lajoie from this extremely rare candy issue. Because Mello-Mints are printed on such thin stock, they are usually found crinkled or heavily creased. This is an extremely crisp example of one of the key Hall of Famers in the set. The card is bright and clean, both front and back, with vibrant colors, honest corner wear, and moderate creasing. The text of the Mello-Mint advertisement on the back is boldly printed in green. Caramel cards in general, of course, are rarely found in high grade, and this is especially so with Mello-Mints. This is an extremely attractive Mello-Mint example of the legendary Nap Lajoie from one of prewar card collecting's most condition-sensitive candy-card issues.
