Graded GOOD 2 by PSA. One of only two copies graded by PSA, this is the highest-graded example! Extremely rare example of Solly Hofman (Chicago Cubs) from the 1910-1912 T215 Red Cross Tobacco (Type 1) set. T215 Red Cross is one of tobacco-card collecting's most overlooked issues. Very similar in design to and borrowing images from the T206 set, T215 Red Cross cards are thought to have been issued exclusively in the Louisiana area. The cards measure 1-1/2 x 2-5/8 inches, which is the standard size for tobacco issues. The offered card has vibrant colors, outstanding registration, and honest corner wear. The reverse exhibits bold and crisp print, an ideal quality for an example of this scarce issue. An unobtrusive crease above Hofman's cap contributes to the assigned grade. An outstanding sample from this scarce and desirable issue.
