Description

Graded GOOD 2 by PSA. Extremely rare example of Brooklyn Superbas Hall of Famer Zack Wheat from the 1910-1912 T215 Red Cross Tobacco (Type 1) set. T215 Red Cross is one of tobacco-card collecting's most overlooked issues. Very similar in design to and borrowing images from the T206 set, T215 Red Cross cards are thought to have been issued exclusively in the Louisiana area. The cards measure 1-1/2 x 2-5/8 inches, which is the standard size for tobacco issues. The offered card has vibrant colors, honest corner wear, and excellent centering. The reverse exhibits bold, crisp print, an ideal quality for an example of this scarce issue. Light creases and a small spot of paper loss on the back contribute to the assigned grade. An outstanding Hall of Fame sample from this scarce and desirable issue.
