Description

Graded VG-EX 4 by PSA. Very attractive mid-grade example of Babe Ruth from the 1928 F50 Harrington's Ice Cream set. The set is identical in design to several other issues of the era, such as Tharp's Ice Cream, Sweetman, and Yuengling's Ice Cream, but with advertising for Harrington's Ice Cream on the reverse. Collectors have always appreciated the rarity and primitive charm of this distinctive issue. The offered card has a crisp image of Ruth, clean white borders, and even corner wear. Boldly printed reverse. A few minor creases are noted for accuracy. This is a strong example of the key card of Babe Ruth from this unusual and scarce 1920s set and would be an ideal addition to any Babe Ruth, Hall of Fame, or type-card collection.
