Near-complete set of 1966-1967 Topps hockey, missing only the Bobby Orr rookie card for completion. The flush-to-the-border design of this issue makes the corners and edges of these cards particularly sensitive to wear and very difficult to collect in high grade. The cards in this set vary in size (most measuring a bit small or oversized), with approximately 10% measuring considerably small (1/16-inch or slightly more). Without further reference to the size variance, the condition is 34% Nr/Mt to Nr/Mt-Mt (mostly Nr/Mt), 51% Ex to Ex-Mt, and 15% Vg to Vg-Ex (including one Gd). We have selected four cards for grading and encapsulation by SGC. Keys: #13 Sawchuk (Vg-Ex), 39 Bucyk (MINT 9), 62 Mikita (Ex), 63 Esposito (Ex), 64 Hull LL (Ex), 66 Checklist (measures a bit small, otherwise Ex), 109 Howe (NM 7), 112 Hull (EX/NM 6), 120 Checklist (Vg+), 121 Howe AS (Vg-Ex), and 125 Hull AS (NM 7). This is an extremely attractive mid- to high-grade near-complete set of this classic hockey-card issue. Total: 131 cards.
