Description

Rarely offered complete set of sixty 1962-1963 Shirriff Hockey Coins. This extremely attractive full-color metal coin set was issued one insert coin per package with bags of potato chips. The set is highlighted by several Hall of Famers and stars including Gordie Howe, Bobby Hull, Jacques Plante, and Jean Beliveau. The coins are bright and crisp, grading 83% Ex-Mt to Nr/Mt (including some Nr/Mt-Mt) and 17% lesser (mostly Vg-Ex to Ex). Because cards naturally get most of the attention among hockey inserts, Shirriff coins are often overlooked, but they are one of the most unusual and attractive hockey issues of the 1960s. A rarely offered high-grade complete set of these popular coins. Total: 60 coins.
