Graded VG-EX+ 4.5 by PSA. Key rare card from the F277-4 “Famous Aviators” series issued by the Heinz Company in the 1930s: #7 Howard Hughes. The F277-4 Howard Hughes card is legendary as one of the key rarities of all 1930s nonsport cards. The fact that Howard Hughes was a famous aviator earned him a place in this set; the fact that the subject of this card is one of the most elusive of all figures in popular culture seems fitting for such an extreme and well-known nonsport-card rarity. The card has a crisp, strong image with brilliant colors, light wear on the corners, and a clean reverse. This is an outstanding mid-grade example of the extremely rare and significant Howard Hughes card from the F277-4 “Famous Aviators” series.
