Description

Collection of four single-signed baseballs consisting exclusively of former New York Giants players, all tough-to-find signees. This collection consists of the following: 1) MacGregor "Official 97 League" baseball signed by pitcher Ray Harrell in black ink across the sweet spot. Harrell has added his nickname "(Cowboy)" with the signature. Harrell passed away in 1984 at the age of 71. The ball displays a few spots of discoloration, but otherwise in Excellent to Mint condition overall. Basic certification from PSA/DNA (a corresponding sticker is affixed to the ball). 2) OALbaseball (MacPhail) signed by pitcher Kirby Higbe in blue ink across the sweet spot. Higbe passed away in 1985 at the age of 70. The ball displays light toning, otherwise in Excellent to Mint condition overall. Basic certification from PSA/DNA (a corresponding sticker is affixed to the ball). 3) OAL baseball (Cronin) signed by infielder Ralph "Red" Kress in black ink across the sweet spot. Kress passed away in 1962 at the young age of 57. The ball displays light toning, otherwise in Excellent to Mint condition overall. Basic certification from PSA/DNA (a corresponding sticker is affixed to the ball). 4) Baseball (manufacturer's stampings faded) signed by catcher Hugh Poland in blue ink on a side panel. Poland has added the inscription "Mgr. Cambridge Ball Club" directly below his signature. The date "Aug. 3, 1940" is noted on the panel below his signature. Poland passed away in 1984 at the age of 74. The ball displays moderate-to-heavy toning and a few surface abrasions. In Good condition overall. Basic certification from PSA/DNA (a corresponding sticker is affixed to the ball). Total: 4 signed baseballs.
