Description

Collection of 17 single-signed baseballs consisting exclusively of former New York Giants players from the 1930s. This collection is highlighted by many tough-to-find signees. Unless otherwise noted, all the signatures appear on the sweet spot of an official National League baseball (except for four American League, one Official 1995 World Series, and four non-Official balls) dating from the 1980s or later (except for one Frick ball). The signatures have been scripted in a variety of inks. Two of the offered baseballs have full JSA LOAs while fifteen others have basic individual authentication from JSA or PSA/DNA. Most of the balls have varying degrees of age toning. Otherwise all are in Excellent or better condition overall (with a few lesser). This collection consists of the following: Ethan Allen (side panel), Joe Bowman (side panel, non-official ball), Al Cuccinello (1995 World Series ball, "N.Y. Giants-1935"), Frank Demaree (Frick ball), Gil English (side panel), Al Glossop (non-official ball, "Boston Braves 1940"), Tom Gorman, Tom Hafey (side panel, non-official ball), Ray Hayworth (OAL ball), Bill Jurges (side panel), Alex Kampouris, Doc Marshall ("Edward H. [Doc] Marshall"), George Myatt (OAL ball, "Best Wishes"), Bob O'Farrell (OAL ball), Manuel Salvo (side panle), Bob Seeds (side panel, OAL ball), and John Wittig (non-official ball, "Best Wishes"). Total: 17 signed baseballs. Auction LOA from James Spence/JSA. The size/weight of this item requires that there will be an additional shipping charge for this lot.
