Description

Original photo of "Sad Sam" Jones as a member of the Chicago White Sox, taken by noted baseball photographer George Burke circa 1932, featuring a personalized inscription by Jones in vintage black fountain pen. PSA/DNA has encapsulated the photo and certified both the signature as "Authentic" and the photograph as a Type I. The photo captures Jones in a pitching pose. Burke's credit stamp appears on the reverse. The photo (4 x 6 inches) has a tear along the top edge and scattered creasing. Poor condition overall.
