Description

Cut signature of Chicago White Sox owner Charles Comiskey. Comiskey’s signature "Chas a. Comiskey" has been scripted in black fountain pen upon a portion of a letter. Comiskey, who was a star first baseman with the St. Louis Browns during the 1880s, was owner of the White Sox from 1901 until 1931, the year of his death. He was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1939. The cut (3 x 7/8 inches, visible dimensions) has been matted together with a Perez-Steele Hall of Fame postcard of Comiskey. Total dimensions of 8 x 9-3/4 inches. Full LOA from James Spence/JSA.
