This familiar piece is a classic from the era: a 1955 Brooklyn Dodgers Schaefer Beer Advertising Display. The self-framed 1950s cardboard advertising piece with easel-stand reverse features a die-cut team picture of the World Champion 1955 Brooklyn Dodgers. The uniquely designed display is composed of three individual photos of players (each representing a different row), with players die-cut, and with each row spaced so as to create a three-dimensional effect. The elaborate design of this fragile cardboard display piece makes it extremely susceptible to damage, and it is rarely, if ever, found in anything even approaching Mint condition. The offered example displays several creases along the "frame," with a couple of tears visible along the top edge. There is only one minor neck crease amongst the players, however. The piece (20.75 x 14.5 inches) is apparent Good to Very Good condition overall. Framed to total dimensions of 28.5 x 21.5 inches. The size/weight of this item requires that there will be an additional shipping charge for this lot.
