Description

Personal check, dated March 17, 1985, signed by Hall of Fame outfielder James “Cool Papa” Bell. The check, drawn on the Mercantile Trust Company N.A. of St. Louis, Missouri, is made out to the "Department of Internal Medicine" for $25. Bell's signature ("James Bell) has been scripted in black felt-tip pen along the base. PSA/DNA has encapsulated the check and certified the signature as “Authentic.” The check (6 x 2.75 inches) displays normal bank cancellation stamps and is in Excellent condition overall.
