Description

Graded EX-MT 6 by PSA. Only one example graded higher. Beautiful example of Chicago Cubs Hall of Famer Johnny Evers from the scarce E102 caramel-card set. The manufacturer of E102 is unknown. The fronts are identical in design to their E101 counterparts and can most easily be distinguished by the black-printed checklist of the 25-card set on the reverse of each card. Evers is one of 10 Hall of Famers in the set. Bright, crisp, and clean, with brilliant colors, excellent registration, and light corner wear. Clean and boldly printed reverse. This very strong sample from the E102 series of Johnny Evers would make an outstanding addition to a Hall of Fame, "E" card, or prewar-card collection.
