Graded NM+ 86 by SGC. This is the only example graded at this level by SGC with just two higher. Beautiful high-grade example of Hall of Famer Sandy Koufax from the 1958 Bell Brand Potato Chips cards. This very scarce and distinctive set featuring Dodgers players was issued regionally only in the Los Angeles area to commemorate the Dodgers' first season on the West Coast. One card was packaged in a thin cellophane wrapper with each bag of Bell Brand Potato Chips. As a result of the product with which they were packaged, heavy grease stains and creases are common with this issue, making it all the more difficult to find top-quality individual cards and to assemble a high-grade set. The offered card is bright, crisp, and clean, with a tremendous overall display value. This is an outstanding specimen worthy of any world-class Sandy Koufax, Bell Brand, or regional-card collection.
