Description

Presented is a complete 96-card set of R1 "Action Gum." Issued by Goudey in the late 1930s, this series features colorful illustrations of battle scenes and military equipment along with detailed descriptions of the scene on the reverse. The reverse also heralded the set as "The Greatest Card Series Ever Produced" at the bottom of each card alongside advertising for the Goudey Gum Company. This set is incredibly popular among nonsport collectors due to its detailed and bright artwork and interesting subject matter. Condition is 17% Vg-Ex to Ex (mostly Vg-Ex), 51% Gd to Vg, and 32% Pr to Fr. This is an attractive mixed-grade complete set of this classic 1930s nonsport issue. Total: 96 cards.
