Description

Presented is a partial set of eighteen different 1941 R137 Goudey "Sky Birds" cards (out of twenty-four in the set). Missing the following six cards for completion: #4, 5, 6, 10, 11, and 12. This is an extraordinarily attractive early 1940s gum-card series issued by Goudey, which features different fighter planes used by countries involved in the war efforts. One of the last of all Goudey sets and one of the most striking, exciting, and colorful bubble-gum card sets of the era. Condition is 33% Nr/Mt or better, 39% Ex to Ex-Mt, and 28% Vg to Vg-Ex (mostly due to centering and including one that measures small). Total: 18 cards.
