Description

First issue of Sports Illustrated, published on August 16, 1954. The magazine is complete with the three-page fold-out of twenty-seven 1954 Topps insert cards. The cards, which were a special promotion prepared in conjunction with Topps, makes this first issue of all the greater note to collectors. The condition is Very Good to Excellent overall, with a bit of debris on the front cover and creasing of the Topps foldout. An attractive mid-grade example of this highly desirable first issue.
