Complete 80-card set of this landmark Fleer issue devoted to the career and life of "The Splendid Splinter." The set includes an attractive example of rare card #68 "Ted Signs," which features Ted with Red Sox General Manager Bucky Harris (himself a Hall of Famer). This card was withdrawn from production due to legal issues relating to Fleer's unauthorized use of Harris' image. Each card in this set displays light indentations across the corners from one-time storage in an album and have been downgraded accordingly in the following condition composites.
