Lot # 699: 1933 R319 Goudey #53 Babe Ruth PSA POOR 1

Very presentable example of one of Babe Ruth’s classic cards: #53, yellow background, from the 1933 Goudey series. The "yellow background" pose of Babe Ruth is, without a doubt, his most difficult to obtain and sought-after card in the 1933 Goudey set. This example has brilliant colors and a crisp image of Ruth. Graded POOR 1 by PSA, flaws include heavy corner wear, a vertical wrinkle running through Ruth's arm, and a spot of paper loss along the lower right on the reverse. An excellent opportunity to acquire one of Babe Ruth's classic cards from the popular 1933 Goudey Gum series and one of card collecting's iconic cards at a fraction of the cost of a higher-graded example.
