Lot # 698: 1933 R319 Goudey #53 Babe Ruth PSA FAIR 1.5

Graded FAIR 1.5 by PSA (submitted by REA). Modestly graded example of one of Babe Ruth’s classic cards: #53, yellow background, from the 1933 Goudey series. The "yellow background" pose of Babe Ruth is, without a doubt, his most difficult to obtain and sought-after card in the 1933 Goudey set. This example has a bright yellow background, a well-focused image, and even corner wear. Clean reverse with bold green text. Several tiny spots of paper loss (more prominent on the reverse) contribute to the assigned grade. This is a very pleasing example of one of Babe Ruth's classic cards from the popular 1933 Goudey Gum series.
