Description

The 1954 Topps set has always been one of the most popular sets of the 1950s. Issued in the heart of the decade, the set features the rookie cards of Hank Aaron, Ernie Banks, and Al Kaline, along with many other Hall of Famers and stars, including two examples of Ted Williams (first and last cards in the set), all in brilliant color. Condition is 7% Ex, 81% Vg to Vg-Ex, and 12% lesser (including one with a slight trim). Seventeen cards have been professionally graded and encapsulated by PSA. Keys: #1 Williams (VG-EX 4), 3 Irvin (VG 3), 10 Robinson (GOOD 2), 13 Martin (Gd), 17 Rizzuto (GOOD 2 [MK]), 20 Spahn (VG-EX 4), 30 Mathews (GOOD 2), 32 Snider (VG+ 3.5), 36 Wilhelm (Vg-Ex), 37 Ford (VG 3), 45 Ashburn (VG 3), 50 Berra (VG 3), 70 Doby (Vg-Ex), 90 Mays (VG 3), 94 Banks RC (POOR 1), 102 Hodges (VG-EX 4), 128 Aaron RC (FAIR 1.5), 132 Lasorda RC (VG 3), 201 Kaline RC (VG 3), 239 Skowron RC (Vg-Ex), and 250 Williams (VG-EX 4). Vintage sets such as this that are in consistent mid-grade condition are especially desirable, representing an exceptional collecting value. This is a very attractive set of this classic early Topps issue, loaded with Hall of Famers and stars from the 1950s. Total: 250 cards.
