Presented is a complete 88-card set of 1962 Topps "Civil War News" plus a complete set of seventeen Confederate currency notes issued in packs with these cards. Each card has multicolored artwork of a battle scene or historical event. The text on the reverse is designed in the style of a newspaper. The extraordinary artwork and accurate historical information presented on these cards have always distinguished them as one of Topps' most ambitious projects. Condition is 15% Ex-Mt to Nr/Mt, 64% Vg-Ex to Ex, and 21% Gd to Vg (including one with a slight miscut). Key: #88 Checklist (20/80 T/B and 25/75 L/R, otherwise Nr/Mt-Mt). The condition of the currency notes ranges from Vg to Ex (averaging Vg-Ex and including a couple lesser), with a factory fold in the center as issued.
