Presented is a complete set of 200 cards from the 1955 Topps "Rails and Sails" series plus sixty-six duplicates. Included are ten Doeskin variations for cards #81-130, six of which are needed for completion of the set (#94, 100, 105, 113, 129, and 181) and four of which are duplicates. The gorgeous color and amazing detail on each card make this set stand out as one of the most highly regarded and beautiful nonsport card sets ever produced. The 200-card 1955 Topps" Rails and Sails" set features 130 railroad locomotives and cars and seventy types of sailing vessels, with an astounding commitment to detail and historical accuracy. The condition of the set is 11% Nr/Mt (including a couple Nr/Mt-Mt), 38% Ex to Ex-Mt, 39% Vg to Vg-Ex, and 12% lesser. The condition of the duplicates is 19% Vg-Ex or slightly better, 50% Gd to Vg, and 31% Pr to Fr. The ten Doeskin variations (two #93, 94, 100, 105, 107, 113, 121, 129, and 181) grade Vg to Vg-Ex, with two Ex.
