Complete 135-card set of 1952 Topps "Look 'n See," one of the great classics of early 1950s nonsport card issues and one of the earliest of all Topps sets. "Look 'n See" is one of the most highly regarded and collected of all postwar sets. This was an extremely ambitious concept for a set, with a strong historical and educational content. The card fronts feature full-color portraits of famous people from all eras and areas of history. Any kid collecting and studying this set could not help but learn about and develop a greater interest in world history. Condition is 11% Ex-Mt to Nr/Mt, 55% Vg-Ex to Ex, and 34% Gd to Vg (including three lesser). Three cards have been graded by SGC (2) and PSA (1). Keys: #15 Ruth (Vg-Ex), 30 Lindbergh (PSA EX-MT 6), 40 S. Jackson (EX/NM 80), 45 Earhart (Ex), and 82 Rembrandt (VG/EX 50). Included is an original wrapper (Gd) and a strip of red cellophane which can be used to reveal the illustrated "answer" to a question about each subject on the reverse of the cards. This classic and always very popular nonsport set is filled with many great historical figures and is always desirable in any condition. Total: 137 items (set of 135 cards plus a wrapper and a cellophane).
