Impressive collection of 125 boxing and wrestling cards from various Exhibit-card sets issued during the 1920s through the 1960s. This collection is highlighted by several Hall of Famers, including Rocky Marciano, James Jeffries, Stanley Ketchel, Georges Carpentier, and Jack Dempsey. This collection consists of the following: 1) 1920s Boxing (8 cards): Two Vg-Ex, two Vg, Gd, Fr, and two Pr. Keys: Dempsey/Training Quarters (Vg), Jeffries (real photo postcard, Pr), and Tunney/Dempsey "Sparring for an Opening" (Gd). Also Includes: Levinsky, Loughran/PC back, Rosenbloom, Walker/PC back, and Wills. 2) 1921 Boxing (9 cards): Ex, two Vg-Ex, Vg, two Gd, Fr, and two Pr. Keys: Carpentier (Gd+), Ketchel (Vg-Ex), and Leonard (Vg). Also includes: Clabby, Gibbons, Hart, McFarland, Moran, and Ritchie. 3) 1922 Boxing (1 card): Dolan (Gd). 4) 1923 Boxing (6 cards): Carpentier (Fr-Gd), Criqui (Vg+), Firpo (Vg-Ex), Gibbons (Vg-Ex+), Tendler (Vg-Ex), and Villa (Pr). 5) 1925 Boxing (1 card): Floyd Johnson (Vg+). 6) 1926 Boxing (1 card): Montgomery (altered, otherwise Pr). 7) 1927 Boxing (5 cards): Pr-Fr to Gd+, averaging Fr-Gd. Includes the following: Dorfman, Huffman, Sanger, Ward, and White. 8) 1928 Boxing (3 cards): Kaplan/yellow (Gd),Latzo/yellow (Vg+) and Mandell/red (Vg+). 9) 1930s to 1960s Boxing (76 cards): 31% Ex to Ex-Mt (including a couple Nr/Mt), 42% Vg to Vg-Ex, and 27% lesser (including one altered).
