Crisp and clean 1971 Topps set, at 752 cards the largest set of Topps cards issued up to that time. The black flush-to-the-border design of the 1971 Topps set makes this issue particularly challenging to collect in extremely high grade. Includes both checklist variations of #123 and 206, and two of the three checklist variations for #369 (639b and 639c) and 619 (619a and 619c). Also includes three duplicates (#69, 206b, and 341 Garvey). Condition is 11% Nr/Mt (including some Nr/Mt-Mt), 75% Ex to Ex-Mt, and 14% Vg to Vg-Ex (including a few miscut, a few that measure small, and thirty-nine with color added). We have selected five cards for grading and encapsulation by SGC. Keys: #5 Munson (EX 5), 20 Jackson (100/0 T/B and 80/20 L/R, otherwise Nr/Mt), 26 Blyleven RC (NM+ 7.5), 55 Carlton (color added, otherwise Ex-Mt), 100 Rose (miscut centering on reverse, otherwise Ex), 117 Simmons RC (Ex-Mt), 160 Seaver (Ex+), 180 Kaline (color added, otherwise Ex+), 210 Carew (Ex-Mt), 250 Bench (Ex-Mt+), two 341 Garvey RC (Ex-Mt and Ex), 400 Aaron (color added, otherwise Ex-Mt+), 513 Ryan (90/10 L/R, otherwise Nr/Mt), 525 Banks (Ex), 530 Yastrzemski (Ex-Mt), 544 Blue (NM/MT 8), 550 Killebrew (Nr/Mt), 570 Palmer (Ex-Mt), 600 Mays (Vg-Ex+), 625 Brock (Ex-Mt), 630 Clemente (NM 7), 640 F. Robinson (Ex+), 650 Allen (measures small, otherwise Ex-Mt), 688 Anderson (NM/MT 8), and 709 Baylor/Baker RC (Ex+). Notwithstanding the presence of some cards with color added, this is still a very attractive and consistent mid- to high-grade complete set. Total: 759 cards (complete set of 752 plus four variations and three duplicates).
